I wanted a couple of covered baking pans because we often join other neighbors for pot luck events. This pan is fine for that. A cake and one layered banana pudding traveled well in this pan.

But if you bake brownies and bars and are fussy about serving "square" squares, then you'll have a little waste with this pan.

The lid edges are sharp and I'd encourage purchasers to either wear a glove or use a towel the first couple of times you remove the lid. Any guesses as to how I came up with that tip? Ouch.

Considering the price of this pan. I think I could have done just as well picking up a pan with a plastic lid from Target or even a large supermarket.

I needed a new square baking pan. When reviewing the different pans, I decided it would be nice to have a pan with a lid. I think a metal lid will last longer than a plastic lid. The reason I gave this pan 4 stars instead of 5 is because the lid does not come off the pan as easily as a larger, lidded pan I have. Perhaps with use, it will come off a little easier. However, the pan worked well when I baked with it, and the lid kept the cornbread fresh.
